ABOUT ME
My name is Nate, I am a 25-year-old Contemporary Art and Illustration graduate looking to become a young professional artist. My art is inspired by my interest in nature and its symbolism of growth alongside the reoccurring imagery seen throughout my work.
My work is autobiographical, visualising my inner dialogue for an audience, to heal my inner child. I am inspired by nature and its symbolism of growth, philosophy branching into neuroscience, the subconscious and trauma response. I work in various materials from oil painting to ceramics, focusing on watercolour illustrations, concept art and abstract acrylic pieces. I want to show my work publicly in group projects, installations, and sculptures, alternately furthering my experience in print finishing and graphic design.
PROJECTS
My university research and development project surrounding my end-of-year exhibition. This includes artist influences, research into trauma response and my practice leading up to an installation inspired by struggles through adolescence. The link will take you to a Tumblr blog that was adjusted using HTML coding for the users' ease of navigation.
Year 3 R&D
While looking at the relationship between art and text and how it creates a narrative, the 'Bad Habit' project starts with character concept designs and follows their story throughout. This document shows the process from brief to final design including comic strips, screen printing designs and photography encompassing the fictitious world of Monica and Eden.
Bad Habit
A small team of us had the task of producing leaflets, posters and booklets for our end-of-year exhibition for our university. The year group chose various colours and styles from a mood board, I then produced poster designs which would become the sustained theme. I designed booklets that were handed out during the show which showcased the featured artists, and their favourite works with a brief description of their practice.

COMMISSIONS
Commissions are open!
I offer a range of traditional visual artworks that include watercolour, acrylic and oil paintings. Prices vary with size, detail and median, so please contact me through email and we can discuss this further.
A 25% deposit is required.
EXHIBITIONS
Open calls for exhibitions!
I focus on identity, mental health and generational trauma through installation and visual works. As a queer artist, I look for exhibitions centred around the representation of non-binary artists. Contact me through email if you are interested in showcasing my work.
DESIGN
Design work is currently closed!
I create contact cards, posters and booklets using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign for personal and business use. When inquiring please provide what text, imagery and style are wanted. Pricing will be based on the design only.
